Katie Summers

Videographer / Production Assistant

Born in Kentucky, Katie Summer moved all across the country in her early life, learning and mastering the skill of flexibility. Time and again, she adapted to new and different situations, settling down in Wooster, Ohio, where she connected with an art teacher who fostered and encouraged her creative abilities. Although she had realized her passions for photography, videography, and storytelling years earlier, it took until much later for her to understand that she could do creative work for a living.

In 2015, Katie earned her BFA at CCAD – the culmination of years spent developing her insights into the creative field. It was also at CCAD that Katie met Kodjo, partnering with on a group project that involved three short films. Becoming friends and collaborators, they recognized a shared joy in the creative process, promising each other that they would continue to work together, drawing on each other for synergy and inspiration. She is ambitious as a photographer, striving to do work that is exciting and intriguing.

In addition to her work with the Kodjoarts team, Katie is a freelance photographer, specializing in wedding photography, family photography, and engagement photography. She finds a deep sense of satisfaction in empowering other artists to see their talents, in the way that her art teacher helped her to see her talents all those years ago. Every day, she makes it her mission to see the world differently and to capture fresh and unique perspectives in images.
