Jacob Daruda

Videographer /  Editor

Jacob graduated from Columbus State’s Chef Apprenticeship program with a degree in hospitality management and completed his apprenticeship at Lindey’s Restaurant in German Village. He continued to work as a cook and chef for over ten years. However, Jacob always wanted to be able to work together with his wife Yazmin so that they could spend more time together and start a family. Over the years, he felt God leading him closer to him and moving him and his wife in a new direction together.

Jacob first became interested in video during his media arts class in high school. He enjoyed working on film projects but did not consider making a career of it then. After seeing Kodjo and Yazmin’s videography and photography success, he considered making a big career change and possibly joining the team. He would finally be able to work together with his wife.

One night at work, a friend who was unaware of his plans told him that whatever he did, he needed to make sure to put God first. After hearing that, Jacob felt more confident and was finally ready to retire from the kitchen and jump into the next chapter of his life, putting God first and trusting that He would take care of them in everything.

Jesus says, ”Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?“ Matthew 6:25

”But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.“ Matthew 6: 33-34

Jacob and Yazmin first met in high school in 2007 and have been happily married since 2015. In 2023, they added a beautiful baby boy named August “Auggie” to their family. The rest of the family is made up of one Australian Shepard named Malcolm and three cats, Jinx, Francis, and Pabu.
